Order and Shipping Policy

HOW DOES SHIPPING WORK?

All products ship directly from the manufacturer’s warehouse. Items are being shipped via LTL freight carriers.  Currently the manufacturers have better negotiated rates, so we are working to leverage those.  Final shipping cost will be calculated at the time of order placement with the Manufacturer.  Up North Attachments will pay 10% of the attachments list price towards shipping cost. There are no markups on the shipping cost. We are willing to make additional freight inquiries through multiple brokers to ensure that you are getting the lowest shipping rate.

For us to run Google Ads, the shipping policy shown on Google Merchant Center is a worst-case conservative shipping cost. For all products we have not received a manufacturers shipping cost, a value of $2000.00 has been assigned for the preauthorization. Actual cost minus the percentage Up North Attachments contributes is what will be charged.  We will contact you final cost prior to processing the actual charge. Orders over $10,000 will have free shipping.

Some items to consider in reducing shipping costs:

  • Are you located in a Remote Access Zone?
  • Is this shipment to a non-standard delivery area?
  • Will you consider picking it up at a shipping dock or terminal?
  • Is lift gate service required?
  • Is the equipment oversized?

Our goal is to provide you with a transparent transportation cost (no markups).  We will happily work with you to make this as cost effective as possible.

For your information/consideration the LTL shipping charges vary significantly based on weight, size, distance and accessorial charges.

So rather than attempting to bake shipping cost into the product list price to offer “free shipping” we are listing products at the lowest price we are allowed to.  We then provide the shipping cost directly from the carrier and pay a percentage of that shipping cost.

DELIVERY BY APPOINTMENT:

Delivery to your farm, house, business or most other locations, but exceptions do apply.

NOTE: THIS SHIPPING METHOD DOES REQUIRE you to use your tractor, skid steer, forklift, etc. to offload your order from the back of the semi-truck.

This form of shipping does include a delivery appointment as well, so expect a phone call from the freight company to schedule a delivery day and time window.  Do not rely on tracking information.  This is only a general idea, and the delivery date represents when it will reach the destination terminal.  This is not when it will be delivered to you.

WAIT FOR THE PHONE CALL FROM THEM TO SCHEDULE THE DELIVERY DAY AND TIME WINDOW.  They are closed on weekends so delivery will only occur on weekdays.

Most of the items on our site ship LTL (on a pallet, skid, or crate) such as pallet forks, grapples, and snow removal equipment to name a few.  These deliveries are made on full length semi-trucks and trailers just like what we all see going down the road every day. Do not count on them being able to fit down your driveway. Often, you’ll need to drive your skid steer or tractor to the end of your driveway, lane, or nearest accessible side street to offload.  They will pull along the shoulder on the road and you offload from there. The amount of time allotted for unloading the order is dependent on the size and weight of the delivery.

Less than 1,000 pounds = 15 minutes
1,000 – 2,500 pounds = 30 minutes
2,501 – 5,000 pounds = 60 minutes

LIFTGATE:

If you cannot physically offload your implement when it arrives at your address, you must request liftgate service.  There will be an additional fee for this service which will be added to the total shipping cost.

PICKUP AT FREIGHT TERMINAL:

Our suppliers use multiple freight carriers.  You do have the option to pick up at the freight terminal that the attachment has been shipped with, if it is easier than having it delivered to your residence.  Unfortunately, this does not mean that we can ship to any terminal that you want.  This could result in extra charges.

FORECASTED FREIGHT CHARGES:

Based on Google Merchant Center policy.  Shipping costs need to be published. We are publishing what should be the worst case, most conservative shipping cost.  As stated previously we will provide an updated shipping cost at the time the order is placed with the manufacturer.  That will be the final cost charged to you minus the percentage paid directly by Up North Attachments.

ORDER SHIPMENT:

If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will ship within five business days from the date of your order.  We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the manufacturer warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.  If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order, feel free to contact us at support@upnorthattachments.com.

Currently no shipping outside the US Mainland.

DELIVERY DATES ARE ESTIMATES ONLY:

You agree that any delivery dates or lead times provided by us, or any third party, are estimates only. We cannot guarantee shipping or delivery times, which may vary significantly based on the products you are ordering, your location, product availability, and other events outside of our control such as weather conditions, supply chain shortages, labor shortages and other force majeure events.

DELAYS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL:

If our ability to supply products ordered on www.upnorthattachments.com is curtailed or limited, directly or indirectly, by an act of god, act of public enemy, acts of governmental bodies or agencies foreign or domestic, sabotage, riot, fire, floods, typhoons, explosions or other catastrophes, epidemics or quarantine restrictions, labor unrest, or labor shortages, accident, freight embargoes, delays occasioned by carriers or delays of a supplier, or because of any other cases beyond our control, in whole or in part, our failure (or the failure of our third party suppliers) to ship the products to you shall not constitute a breach or failure of performance hereunder for the period of time occasioned by any such occurrence.

FAILURE TO ACCEPT PROODUCTS ON DELIVERY:

If you reject delivery of goods ordered from us, or otherwise fail to accept delivery of the goods, you agree to pay for all related and additional shipping fees, duties, taxes and other charges arising from such failure to accept delivery. After such failure to accept delivery of the goods, it shall be your responsibility to pay for and arrange a new shipping date.

DAMAGES:

We urge you to please inspect the items upon delivery before signing the delivery receipt.

In the unlikely event that a shipment arrives damaged, it is the customer's responsibility to document any damage on the Delivery Receipt.

At this point the customer has a couple options:

  1. Refuse the shipment by noting it on the handheld device provided by the driver. Contact us immediately at support@upnorthattachments.com.
  2. Make note of any damage and take time stamped photos of the damage and accept the delivery.

If your item(s) do arrive damaged, please take time stamped photos and send them to support@upnorthattachments.com and we will work with the supplier to process an insurance claim on your behalf.

LOST:

Please notify us as soon as possible if you believe your order is lost in transit. If your order has been misplaced, we will work with the supplier and carrier to locate it. Up North Attachments will take up to two weeks after we notify the carrier of the problem to locate your order. However, you agree that Up North Attachments is not the direct supplier of the items, it shall be your responsibility to pursue any claims with the applicable supplier in the event your lost or damaged item is not replaced by the supplier or carrier.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS:

All orders canceled after 48 hours are subject to a $20 administration fee. Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card that you use when placing your order.
